crystal lofts, brush park

This 1920’s Art-Deco building, once Detroit’s famous “Crystal Ballroom”, has been reinvented into thirteen unique lofts. Located in Brush Park, Detroit, these condos boast high ceilings, oversized, original arched windows and vintage-exposed brick walls that are showstoppers in their own right. Our lead interior designer chose a rustic distressed black, tufted sofa to place under the ballroom inspired windows, flanked by a pair of understated oyster-grey, gold-accented chairs, leaving the open concept living space open and airy. A hand-loomed brown and cream patterned rug warms the space and marries the earthly elements of the concrete floors. A pair of round, black, marble coffee tables offer the opportunity for perfect placement for a pair of Cosmo martinis and Motown-themed tabletop books. Clear crystal accents and lavender hues set atop a white marbled dining table add an element of softness to the space. Upstairs, the spacious master bedroom is perfect for a king sized bed and our designer suggests the addition of a clear desk and a grey tufted swivel chair with sleek brass lines; urban work/live spaces in the home are highly sought after during times when we are working from home. We partnered with local artist, One Carter, for the art; our V & Co. Interiors designer hand selected pieces with greens and blue tones, bringing abstract and oversized pops of color to the space.
